Schenectady Restaurant Week (Feb. 18-24)

More than 20 restaurants in downtown Schenectady and nearby locations will be participating in the 8th Annual Schenectady Restaurant Week, which stretches from Monday, Feb. 18, to Sunday, Feb. 24. The restaurants will offer special fixed-price menus for $20.13 featuring a selection of appetizers, entrees and desserts. Restaurant Week is a joint promotion of the Downtown Schenectady Improvement Corporation and the Chamber of Schenectady County

“Restaurant Week is a fantastic way to attract customers to our exceptional independently-owned restaurants, many for the first time,” Jim Salengo, executive director of the Downtown Schenectady Improvement Corporation, said in a statement. “The promotion has the added bonus of introducing people to the visual improvements and full range of businesses that are transforming Downtown Schenectady.”

Chuck Steiner, president of the Chamber of Schenectady County, said many restaurants will be finishing a strong stretch of sales before the promotion starts following a nearly week-long run of the Boradway musical "Priscilla: Queen of the Desert."

"Restaurant Week will continue that positive momentum by generating another week of steady business during a traditionally slow time of year," Steiner said in a statement.
