CAPITAL DISTRICT Alan Cuomo, 47, of Rotterdam, and Jason McDonald, 33, of Schenectady, were both sentenced in an Albany County Court on Tuesday, Feb. 19, for drunk driving charges.
Cuomo was sentenced to six months in the Albany County Correctional Facility, five years of felony probation, an ignition interlock device installed for five years, a $2,000 fine and his license revoked for 18 months.
Cuomo was stopped at a State Police DWI checkpoint along I-90 in the Town of Guilderland on Aug. 24, 2012. Police said Cuomo showed “physical signs” of intoxication and failed several standardized field sobriety tests. Cuomo had a BAC of 0.11 percent.
Cuomo on Dec. 11, 2012, pleaded guilty to felony driving while intoxicated.
McDonald was sentenced to five years of felony probation, a $1,000 fine, an ignition interlock device installed for five years and 200 hours of community service.
McDonald was driving along I-87 in the Town of Colonie when State Police pulled him over for a traffic violation. Police said upon approaching the vehicle McDonald had “several physical signs” of intoxication. McDonald had a BAC of 0.08 percent.
McDonald on Jan. 2, pleaded guilty to felony driving while intoxicated.
